Associate Outsourcing Manager

Company Description:
Our client a large global pharmaceutical company is looking to recruit an Outsourcing Manager. The role is to maximise the value of utilisation of external resources for clinical development activities while minimizing operational and financial risk, by balancing quality, timelines and costs in day-to-day sourcing. This would be a contract position either directly with my client or as a freelancer, the position is based at their offices in Leiderdorp.

Function summary:
For day-to-day in- and outsourcing activities of selected services (functional mostly), the Associate Outsourcing Manager:

* Manages, under supervision, the outsourcing process including determining and defining the exact scope of work (specifications of services), judging suitability of suppliers, identifying and facilitating resolution of any business and legal issues and justifying the choice of the supplier for the decision making process
* Assists in the overall commercial and contractual communication and negotiation as representative of the company, with the supplier, securing the optimal contractual agreement for the company and is responsible for the preparation and finalization of the contract (with or without legal support)
* Contributes to achieving the targeted savings by warranting compliance with the Outsourcing Strategy and the use of preferred providers and the use of negotiated unit prices in line with the Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
* Is responsible for ongoing contract management including changes in scope, conflict resolution and reconciliation

. Bachelor/university degree life sciences · Excellent communication skills
· Negotiation and influencing skills
· Team player (cross-functional and multi-cultural) but being able to work independently
· Understanding of legal and financial aspects associated with outsourcing projects
· Experience in Clinical Development either as a provider (CRO) or user (Pharma, Biotech) of contract services
· Procurement or business development expertise preferably in clinical development is an advantage
· Excellent knowledge of the English language both verbal and written
